Leaning into teaching from the perspective of healing the young and emerging artist I once was has given me more rewards than I could have imagined. Healing past wounds has awakened me to be present to the questions, thoughts, comments, and concerns of the artists I lead today.
The Onset Methodology is an
artistic comprehension that embraces, edifies, and empowers performing artists to find ease, reflection, introspection, and vulnerability.
The Onset Technique includes physical and vocal techniques, performance, and creativity development. Artists connect the mind with the body based on the individual’s experience. From age four and up, this technique is offered in a low to high impact with a focused artistic approach to performance and curating new works.
I reinforce student's curiosity by encouraging them to find strength in the nuance of artistic and personal points of view.
